Most EMT 948 and EMT 950 professional studio turntables were delivered in the past with a phono pre-amp/equalizer board (EMT no. 7 950 088) for use with stereo MM cartridges but nowadays a lot of these turntables are owned by private users and passionated EMT collectors which prefer to use a high-end stereo MC cartridge like for instance the EMT TSD15.
With this upgrade kit you can easily modify your stereo pre-amp/equalizer board (EMT no. 7 950 088) to the MC input version (EMT no. 7 950 038) and consits of:
* 2 pcs. original shielded toroidal MC step-up (1 : 7) transformer Tr. 750 & Tr. 750’, EMT no. 4 150 056,
* 2 pcs. 12K metal film resistor 1% to change the value of R 750 & R 750’,
* 1 pce. solder sucking wick for desoldering,
* 1 pce. B/W copy of the original EMT circuit diagram,
* 1 pce. B/W copy of the original EMT PCB component lay-out,
* 1 pce. short form step by step modify instruction.
